A visit by fourth-year law students to the Gharyan Primary Prosecution Office


In continuation of the practical program undertaken by the College of Law and Political Science to raise students’ efficiency in linking the scientific and practical aspects, today, Monday, 2/13/2023, fourth-year law students visited the Gharyan Primary Prosecution Office, accompanied by distinguished professors Dr. Ahmed Al-Harari, Head of the Law Department, Dr. Fawzi Al-Maqtouf, Professor of Law, and Professor Ayman Al-Sadiq, Head of the Activity Department, were received by the Honorable Professor Kamal Al-Qoud, Head of the Gharyan Primary Prosecution Office, accompanied by the Honorable Professor Afaf Al-Dawaji, a member of the court panel and a professor of Criminal Procedure, where they were introduced to the prosecution apparatus. Public Prosecutions and its affiliated prosecutions (the Anti-Corruption Prosecution, Public Order, Narcotics, and Illegal Immigration Prosecution) and showed the students a sample of a group of case files to review their contents. The professor explained to them the concept of summons and registration requests, the criminal case and its characteristics, and the legal nature of the criminal case. Dr. . Ahmed Al-Harari asked the students a set of questions to stimulate their memory, indicating the link between the theoretical and practical aspects of criminal procedures. After that, the honorable Professor Masoud Abdullah, the Attorney General at the Gharyan Court of Appeal, accompanied by the Honorable Professor Mahmoud Al-Masaqri, the Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General Gharyan, received the students and professors accompanying them, where he greeted them with an Islamic greeting. Wishing them good luck and success in their academic career, encouraging them to make a good choice to study law, explaining to them the jurisdiction of the Office of the First Public Defender and the Public Advocate, as he explained to them that every court of appeal has a public defender under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor who has all his rights and powers stipulated in the laws. In conclusion, he thanked them.
