A Scientific Dialogue on the Theory of Constitutional Necessity at the Faculty of Law and Political Science - Gharyan University
As part of its scientific and intellectual activities, the political team at the Center for Social Research and In-Depth Policy Studies visited the Faculty of Law at Gharyan University on Thursday, October 23, 2025, and organized a scientific dialogue entitled:
"The Theory of Constitutional Necessity and its Applicability to the Libyan Context."
The dialogue addressed one of the established legal concepts in international law, namely the theory of constitutional necessity, by discussing its theoretical and practical dimensions and its potential application to address the constitutional challenges facing Libya, particularly in light of the changes affecting the legal status of political components and entities, and the resulting disruption to the transitional process.
The scientific session witnessed the participation of a select group of law and political science professors from Gharyan University, along with a number of social components from the city of Gharyan, the Jabal region, and several other Libyan cities. The discussions were characterized by richness and diversity of visions on ways to overcome the current stage through balanced constitutional and legal approaches.
